A person is affected by a stressful situation to the point that it is affecting their physical and mental health. In addition to making the correct dua’a for anxiety and stress, is it permissible to seek the professional help of a Muslim psychiatrist/psychologist if one feels they may be having some type of mental difficulties in handling their situation? If permissable, would it be necessary to confirm that the doctor himself/herself is following the correct aqeedah?Would it also be permissable to take anti-depressants or mood controlling medication if prescribed in order to better handle one’s stress levels.
In part one we had seen how formerly Pop star Cat Steven was searching for truth, happiness and peace of mind. What elevates human being to higher horizon is to make his/her mind open for truth and following it. This grants him freedom rather than slavery. Indeed test of opposite gender is difficult thing. Passing it, is great victory and honour. At same time falling this test is disgrace and depression. But what shall you do when internal force drives you toward opposite gender.
Today we are in the great fitna (tribulation, trial, temptation and etc). In this fitna youth and women are first to be attacked and as a result, they are lost in the darkness of life. Today many youths are lost, they don’t know why they live in this world, what is the purpose of their creation. They roam in the life like a mother who lost her child. She doesn’t sleep well until she joins her child. Why they lost themselves? What is the reason behind their roaming? Why can they not find the straight path that is full of light? Continue reading
